The Money Symbol and What Opens the Round

Random on every spin, expressed as a multiple of the total bet, not of the line bet.

How a Free Spins Round Actually Runs
Five steps, in the order the game runs them. Every sentence below is a restatement of page 2 of the rules panel, including the two places where the round stops.

Land three scatters or more
Three scatters open the round with 10 free spins, four with 15, five with 20. Nothing else triggers it, and there is no partial trigger that hands you a respin instead.

Watch what the money symbols are worth on that spin
Each money symbol takes a random value every spin from a fixed set that runs 2x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x and 2,000x the total bet. The fish paying symbols are money symbols too, so the same fish can be worth very different amounts on two consecutive spins.

Let the wilds do the collecting
Every wild that lands during the round collects all money values visible on screen at that moment. Collected wilds keep counting until the round ends, which is why the round rewards patience rather than a single lucky spin.

Count wilds in fours
Every fourth wild collected retriggers the round with 10 more free spins and lifts the collection multiplier: 2x on the first retrigger, 3x on the second, 10x on the third. Retriggered spins are played after the current batch finishes.

Know where the round stops
After the third retrigger the round cannot be retriggered again, and the multiplier stays at 10x. Separately, if the total win of a free spins round reaches 2,100x the bet, the round ends immediately, the win is paid and any remaining free spins are forfeited.
The Retrigger Ladder, and Where It Ends
The ladder has three rungs and then stops. That last row is the part most descriptions of this game leave out, and it changes how the round reads: the multiplier is capped long before the free spins are.

Read the middle column again. Five of the six publish an RTP inside a fifth of a percentage point of each other, and four of them publish exactly the same number. Whatever separates these games, it is not the return percentage, and anyone choosing between them on that basis is choosing on noise. What does separate them is volatility and the win cap, and those sit in each game's own rules panel rather than on any provider page.

No. Both publish 96.71%, but the rules panels separate them: Bonanza is rated Low volatility with a 2,100x ceiling, while Splash is Medium with 5,000x. A game can return the same share of stakes over time and still deliver it in a very different shape.

Is Big Bass Bonanza the same game as Bigger Bass Bonanza or Big Bass Bonanza Megaways?
No. Pragmatic Play runs a separate page for each of them, and each is its own title. The confusing part is that the published return barely moves between them: Bigger Bass Bonanza prints 96.71%, the Megaways version prints 96.70%, and Big Bass Football Bonanza prints 96.50%. You cannot tell them apart by percentage, only by name and by what the rules panel of each one says.
What happens if Big Bass Bonanza hits its 2,100x maximum win?
The round stops there. The rules panel is explicit: if the total win of a free spins round reaches 2,100x the bet, the round ends immediately, the win is paid, and any free spins still owed to you are forfeited. It is a hard ceiling on the round, not a soft target the game drifts past.
How much can you bet per spin on Big Bass Bonanza?
